He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Gandaki Province Policy and Planning Commission, appointed by the Honorable Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey. He holds a PhD in Geology in February 2011 from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, and brings over two decades of experience in geohazard research, disaster risk management, and resilient infrastructure development. As a prolific researcher, Dr. Devkota has published extensively in high-impact journals, including Natural Hazards and Landslides. His scholarly work covers landslide risk assessment, climate adaptation, and the integration of geoscientific knowledge into public planning and governance.
